The Chateau de Canisy has a perfect location, close to Saint-Lo, in Normandy, half way between the landing beaches of Omaha, Utah, Sword, and the Mont Saint Michel, and 30 minutes away from Bayeux.

The English Channel, its beaches and gulfs, and the Christian Dior museum at Granville, are a 25-minute drive away.

Enjoy a wonderful weekend in a remarkable national historic building in the middle of a 800-acre ( 300 hectares) park with ponds, forests and farmland.

The château is located in the middle of the Operation Cobra area, initiated on the 25th of July 1944 by the general Omar Bradley, commander of the First American Army during World War II, who had located his headquarters in the château.
